of Jobe)Services for Tom Henry
BRYAN, 97, of Lufkin, will be held at 10
a.m. Monday in the Gipson-Metcalf Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Duane MILLS officiating.
Internment will follow in the Gardens of Memories
Memorial Park.
Mr.
BRYAN was born Dec. 12, 1902, in Rusk
County, and he died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, in a
local nursing home.
Mr.
BRYAN was retired from Southland Paper
Mill, following 15 years of service. He served in
the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr.
BRYAN was a member of Herty Baptist
Church.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Ray
and Becky BRYAN: daughters and
sons-in law, Sue and Robert
NEWLAND and Merlene and
Richard GAGER; five grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren." From The Lufkin Daily
News, (note: Merlene is not a biological daughter
but, had been raised by Tom Henry since about age
10).
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hester
(PRICE McADAMS ) BRYAN."

MRS.
RUBY BRYAN, (wife of Jessie P BRYAN),
81, of Houston, died Sunday, May 30, 1993. She
was born in Timpson, Texas on April 11, 1912.
Mrs. BRYAN was a mother and homemaker. Member of
the World of Faith Pentecostal Church. She was
preceded in death by her husband Jesse
Porter BRYAN, Mrs. BRYAN
is survived by her daughters, Ruby
REICHERT, Nannie Lee LINDSEY,
Barbara Ann BURNEY and Judy
Patricia HARPER; son Floyd BRYAN;
sisters, Maude FREDERICK, Pauline
HALPERN, and Estelle UTSEY;
brother, Leo WILSON; fifteen
grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and
one great great grandchild. Also numerous nieces
and nephews. Funeral services will be held at
3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1, 1993 in the Chapel
of Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd.
Interment, Woodlawn Garden of Memories Cemetery.

27, 1999. She is survived by her husband Raymond
REICHERT, daughter Sandy F.
FICKLING; and son, Danny R. LEE.
